We recognise that the world is a changing place and pupils need to have a wider view of global issues as we prepare them for making a positive contribution as adults. They have increasingly sophisticated access to fast communication systems (e.g. news, internet etc) and travel which opens up the world beyond our immediate locality and national boundaries. St. Luke’s is committed to equal opportunities and full inclusion and believe that promoting an international curriculum will promote these principles. We believe that all pupils will gain rich and creative experiences through a wide range of internationally linked curriculum opportunities.
We have a partnership with two school in Ethiopia run by the charity StandbyMe, where we work with the teachers showing them how to use scientific equipment we have supplied to them.
We also hold fundraising activities in the school to raise money for StandbyMe
