In Year 5 we learn through lots of different methods including practical activities, educational visits and role play activities. As well as all this we have visitors come into school to help us to explore new areas of learning.
During this year we have had lots of opportunities to expand our thinking including a visit to the Lea Valley river system in which we got the chance to explore, in real life, how rivers work and the different parts that humans have adapted for their own use.
We have also had the Young Shakespeare Company performing Macbeth, which incorporated both traditional language and role play to help us to understand the plot and be a part of the story. This has helped us with both our understanding of more complex writing and also to create our own.
